The success of the State Youth Jazz Orchestra Hesse (Kicks & Sticks) is primarily the result of the continuous work and direction of Wolfgang Diefenbach. The Friends of Kicks & Sticks also play a significant role. The association was the organizational foundation of the ensemble until the end of 2021. The members of the board of directors took on key roles in the day-to-day business of the orchestra. Today, the association supports the orchestra mainly financially and with volunteer work.
In times of scarce public funding in the cultural sector, the orchestra needs every support. As a member of the association, you make it possible for the orchestra to continue to engage outstanding soloists and instructors in the future and to secure its outstanding position among youth jazz orchestras.
With 60€ annual membership fee you can support the work of the youth orchestra and actively promote young musical talents.
